Brand Kit Asset Synchronization and Deletion Behavior

Brand Kit Asset Management
Canva Brand Kits enable administrators to centralize logos, color palettes, and fonts to maintain organizational consistency across a team. When assets are updated within the Brand Kit, changes typically propagate to linked elements in existing designs to ensure visual alignment.
However, the behavior regarding asset removal remains unclear. While updating a logo synchronizes the change, deleting an asset from the Brand Kit may impact legacy designs that rely on those specific resources.
Configuration Constraints
- Administrative roles control Brand Kit modifications.
- Assets are globally accessible based on team permission tiers.
- Version history exists for designs, but not for the Brand Kit configuration itself.
Does deleting a logo or color from the Brand Kit automatically remove the element from all previously saved designs, or does the asset persist in those designs as a static object? If the asset is removed, is there a mechanism to prevent broken links in legacy templates?
