Sourcetree Pull Rebase Checkbox Persistence Configuration

Teams using Sourcetree want to enforce a rebase‑only pull workflow across all repositories so that every pull produces a linear history without requiring users to remember to tick the "Rebase instead of merge" checkbox each time.
Currently the checkbox applies only to the individual pull operation and does not persist as a global preference, and Sourcetree’s preferences UI does not expose the underlying Git pull.rebase setting, leaving it unclear whether configuring that setting manually will be respected or overridden by the client.
- Is there a supported way to configure Sourcetree to persist the rebase preference globally for all pulls?
- Does setting pull.rebase=true in the .gitconfig (via Sourcetree’s Git preferences or externally) guarantee that subsequent pulls use rebase even when the checkbox is cleared?
- How can teams enforce a consistent pull strategy without relying on users to manually edit configuration files?
