CGHS New Rule 2026: Geographical Restrictions Removed for Central Government Employees
The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has removed the 5-km geographical restriction for CGHS eligibility. Serving central government employees outside covered areas can now opt for cashless CGHS benefits via a one-time, irreversible choice.
