Eligibility and Application Process

Applicants must be Indian nationals. The maximum age is 30 years as of 30 September 2026, with age relaxations of three years for OBC, five years for SC/ST, and ten years for PWD candidates. Candidates holding an MSc or BTech in a relevant discipline can apply directly using a valid GATE score from 2024, 2025 or 2026. Selection Method and Pay Scale

Selection will be based solely on GATE scores; there is no written test or interview. Merit lists are prepared category‑wise using the GATE score, with scores from the last three years given equal weight. The pay scale ranges from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,000 per month, with an expected starting salary of around ₹65,000.
