The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) declared the NEET PG 2026 result on 24 September 2026 on its official website, natboard.edu.in.[1] The result was published as a PDF merit list, while individual scorecards and the official answer key were scheduled to follow on 1 October 2026 — a distinction candidates should note, since the initial PDF only confirms qualification status and rank, not the full scorecard needed for counselling.
Key dates and numbers for NEET PG 2026
The examination was held on 30 August 2026 in computer-based mode across the country for admission to MD, MS, DNB, DrNB (direct six-year courses) and PG Medical Diploma courses for the 2026-27 admission session.[1] According to NBEMS, a total of 2,65,960 candidates appeared for the examination.[1]

What the result PDF contains
The NEET PG 2026 result PDF lists each candidate's roll number, candidate ID, total marks obtained and All India Rank (AIR).[2] It does not function as an individual scorecard. Candidates who qualified by securing the NEET PG cutoff become eligible for counselling, which is conducted separately through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for All India Quota seats and by state authorities for state quota seats.
How to download the NEET PG 2026 scorecard
- Visit the official NBEMS website at natboard.edu.in.
- Open the NEET PG 2026 login window using your application credentials.
- Download the individual scorecard and the answer key, available from 1 October 2026.
- Keep a printed copy of the scorecard for counselling and document verification.
Search interest in 'nbems' surged sharply in India around the announcement — Google Trends recorded roughly 50,000 searches with about 1,000% growth in the 24 hours to 25 September 2026.[3]
What happens after the result
Qualifying candidates should monitor the MCC counselling schedule and their respective state PG medical admission portals. The scorecard is a mandatory document during counselling registration, choice filling and seat allotment. Candidates should also verify their category-wise cutoff marks against the official NBEMS notification, since eligibility for counselling depends on meeting the qualifying percentile for their category.
