Fact Check: Was Rajpal Yadav Insulted and Kicked Out of Mushtaq Khan's Prayer Meet?

The Viral Claim: What Happened at the Prayer Meet?

Recent social media videos have sparked a wave of searches for राजपाल यादव after claims surfaced that the actor was insulted and forced to leave the prayer meet of the late actor Mushtaq Khan. The viral clips suggested a confrontation between the actor and the grieving family, leading many to believe that Rajpal Yadav was disrespectfully removed from the event.

To provide context, veteran actor Mushtaq Khan passed away on September 24, 2026, at Nanavati Hospital following a battle with cancer. A prayer meet was subsequently held on September 30, 2026, to honor his memory, attended by several industry colleagues including Rakhi Sawant, Rahul Roy, and Rajpal Yadav [2].

The Truth: Misinterpreted Chaos vs. Reality

Fact-checks by major news outlets, including ABP News and Aaj Tak, have debunked the claim that Rajpal Yadav was insulted. The controversy stemmed from a misinterpreted video clip where a woman is heard shouting. However, a closer look at the footage reveals that the woman was not addressing the actor, but was instead reprimanding a young man who was attempting to take selfies during the solemn occasion [1].

The situation unfolded as follows:

• The Trigger: As Rajpal Yadav was leaving the venue, he was surrounded by paparazzi and fans eager for photos.
• The Reaction: The family and organizers found the selfie-taking and commotion inappropriate for a funeral setting.
• The Departure: Recognizing that the environment had become disruptive, Rajpal Yadav chose to leave the area with his team to maintain the sanctity of the event [2].

Rajpal Yadav's Tribute to Mushtaq Khan

Contrary to the narrative of a fallout, Rajpal Yadav expressed deep respect for his colleague. While speaking to the media at the event, he described Mushtaq Khan as a "pure soul" and a "capable actor," stating that he would be remembered by everyone [1].

This incident serves as a reminder of how isolated video clips can be framed to create false narratives, turning a moment of fan-induced chaos into a perceived celebrity conflict.
