Replit provides a dedicated Alerts panel allowing users to toggle notifications for build failures, test failures, and deployment events. While the current interface supports a global "Mute" toggle to silence all notifications for a 24-hour period, it lacks options for custom silence durations or the ability to isolate specific alert types during maintenance windows.
\nFor projects with high commit frequencies, repeated identical failures can trigger a high volume of email and in-app banners. There is currently no documented method to group these alerts by severity or suppress duplicate notifications within a specific timeframe.
\nWhich mechanisms are available to prevent alert fatigue without silencing all workspace notifications? Does Replit support custom suppression rules for repeated failure events?
To prevent alert fatigue without silencing all workspace notifications, the only native mechanism available is the Alerts panel. Within this panel, users can selectively toggle notifications for specific event categories, allowing you to mute noisy triggers while keeping critical ones active.
You can independently enable or disable notifications for the following event types:
Replit does not support custom suppression rules for repeated failure events. There is currently no native functionality to group alerts by severity, set custom silence durations, or automatically suppress duplicate notifications within a specific timeframe.
Because alert configurations are managed exclusively via the web UI, the following constraints apply:

Note: To provide a more tailored recommendation, please specify if these alerts are primarily arriving via email or as in-app banners, as external email filters can be used as a secondary suppression layer.

Beyond toggling Build, Test and Deployment event types in the Alerts panel, Replit workspaces expose per-workspace delivery channel preferences for in-app banners versus email. Keeping an event type enabled but disabling email for that type retains visibility inside the workspace while reducing inbox fatigue.
This is distinct from the 24-hour global Mute toggle. The channel split is UI-only, plan and version sensitive, and does not provide deduplication, severity grouping or custom snooze windows. As of current model knowledge there is no public API or SDK for programmatic alert configuration.
Verification is straightforward: open Settings > Alerts in a workspace and confirm which event types and channels are individually toggleable, and note the fixed mute duration offered.
