Silent rendering failure in Devicon CSS class assignments

Devicon integrates technology logos into web projects via a CDN-hosted CSS stylesheet. Icons are rendered by applying specific classes, such as devicon-java, to HTML elements. However, the library does not provide a built-in validation mechanism or console warning when an invalid or misspelled class is applied.
Because the system fails silently, it is difficult to distinguish between a missing stylesheet, a network failure at the CDN level, or a simple typo in the class name during development. This creates uncertainty when scaling a project with numerous technology icons across different categories.

1. No built‑in validation exists in Devicon. The library is a pure CSS stylesheet; it does not emit console warnings or provide a configuration hook for missing classes.
2. No configuration option can trigger a warning. Because Devicon has no JavaScript layer, you cannot enable a warning from the CDN or the stylesheet itself.
When a class such as devicon-java is misspelled, the element simply receives no font rule. If the CDN stylesheet fails to load, the same silent effect occurs. The difference is that a network failure removes all Devicon rules, whereas a typo only removes one rule.

This would help us decide whether to focus on network diagnostics or class‑name validation.
