Recovery needs to recreate the working service and its required data after a machine or process is lost. Which artifacts and state need protection, and how should the restore be checked?

Preserve scripts, module requirements and the configuration needed to recreate the execution environment. Store credentials through the approved secret system rather than inside a script backup. Exported objects may not retain the behavior of live service objects, so test the intended restoration workflow.
