Power Save Mode resource throttling and file-type exclusions

Resource Management in WebStorm
Power Save Mode is used to reduce CPU and memory consumption by disabling background inspections, indexing, and automatic updates. This is particularly useful for low-traffic workloads or when running the IDE in resource-constrained cloud environments.
Configuration Constraints
Currently, the mode operates as a global toggle. When enabled, it suspends these background processes across the entire project regardless of the file type or directory being edited. There is no native mechanism to maintain full indexing and real-time inspections for critical source files while throttling them for documentation or configuration files.
This lack of granularity creates a trade-off between system resource savings and the availability of essential navigation features like Go to Declaration.
- Is there a way to configure Power Save Mode to exclude specific file extensions from throttling?
- Can specific directories be whitelisted to ensure background indexing remains active for core logic while disabled elsewhere?
