Can Minitab’s Session History Offer a True Rollback After Destructive Worksheet Changes?

Goal
To create a reliable rollback path after a destructive worksheet operation (e.g., column deletion or data overwrite) in Minitab, so that the original state can be restored without manual file copies.
Constraints
Minitab’s Undo stack is finite and does not cover all destructive actions. Session commands are recorded in the Command Line Editor and can be exported as .MTB exec files, but replaying them runs against the current data set, producing different results. The .MPJ project file bundles worksheets and output, yet it offers no transactional rollback mechanism; restoring a previous project snapshot requires manual project saves.
Unresolved Questions
- Can a workflow be built that captures the worksheet state before destructive edits and restores it automatically?
- Does Minitab’s Command Line Editor support saving a snapshot of the worksheet that can be re‑loaded later?
- Which external version‑control tools can be integrated with Minitab project files to provide a true rollback feature?
