Can a deleted Behance project be recovered, or is removal permanent?

Behance documents project editing and publishing, but its help materials do not clearly describe any self-service trash, archive, or restore option for deleted projects. Since edits to a live project also overwrite the published content without retaining prior revisions, I am trying to understand what recovery options actually exist before treating the platform as the only home for a portfolio.
My specific concerns: whether deletion is immediately and irreversibly permanent from Adobe's side, whether Adobe support can restore a deleted project on request (and within what time window, if any), and whether the answer differs between a free Behance account and one linked to a Creative Cloud subscription.
I am also unclear whether uploaded images remain retrievable in their original resolution after deletion, or whether only optimized web renditions ever existed on the platform.
Is there any documented recovery path for a deleted Behance project, and does account type affect it? Should creators assume deletion is final and plan local backups of source files accordingly?

When you click the delete button on a Behance project, the project is removed from public view and the underlying database record is purged. In practice this means the deletion is effectively permanent – there is no visible trash bin, undo button, or time‑based “recovery window” in the web UI.
If you have not retained any local copies and Adobe Support does not recover the project, you should treat the deletion as final. Plan future uploads with a local backup strategy to avoid this situation.
