Behance project ID stability during Adobe ID migration for portfolio synchronization

A small application synchronizes Behance portfolio data into a local store and must migrate to a new backend without downtime. The migration plan relies on stable project identifiers to deduplicate records across incremental sync runs.
The Behance REST API v2 returns a numeric id field for each project, but documentation and community reports indicate this identifier is not guaranteed to remain stable when a user's Adobe ID changes — for example, during an individual-to-enterprise Creative Cloud migration or Adobe ID merge. No alternative stable key (such as a UUID or content hash) is exposed by the API.
Without a reliable primary key, the migration tooling cannot safely determine whether a project returned in a later poll represents the same creative work or a new entry, risking duplicate records or data loss during the cutover window.
What strategy can ensure accurate deduplication when the only available identifier may change during an Adobe ID migration?
Is there an undocumented field or combination of fields (e.g., created_on plus owner.id) that remains invariant across identity transitions?
Can the API be queried in a way that surfaces the Adobe ID linkage to correlate pre- and post-migration project records?

Because the Behance API does not expose a permanent key, the only reliable way to deduplicate projects across an Adobe ID migration is to build a composite key from fields that stay unchanged when the owner’s Adobe ID changes. The combination of owner.id, created_on, and a content fingerprint (hash of title, description, or first image URL) provides a stable identifier that can be matched before and after the migration.
id fieldWhen an individual account is merged into an enterprise account, Adobe re‑generates internal numeric IDs for each project. The REST API returns the new numbers, so the old id values are no longer valid. No documented field links the old and new IDs.
created_on is a UTC timestamp that never changes after the project is first published.owner.id reflects the current Adobe ID; it changes to the new enterprise ID after migration.slug may persist but is not globally unique across users.id, created_on, owner.id, title, description_hash, slugowner.id and a created_on within ±5 minutes of the stored value.description_hash (or another chosen fingerprint). A match indicates the same creative work; update the stored record. A mismatch means a new project—insert it.id values are inserted and that every project has a unique composite key.created_on or fingerprint differs from the pre‑migration snapshot. Will any projects be edited (title, description, or first image) after the Adobe ID migration? If edits are expected, consider adding a checksum of the full project payload to reduce false negatives.
