Auto-save revision history accumulates without retention limits

Figma's auto-save mechanism continuously records cloud-stored snapshots of files as edits occur. For low-traffic workloads, this produces a persistent revision chain that expands over time even when activity is minimal, and there is no documented setting to disable auto-save or cap the number of retained revisions per file.
Because storage and revision history are absorbed into the subscription fee rather than billed separately, the cost impact is not visible as a discrete line item. The Starter plan limits version history to the most recent revision, while archived files remain in the account for 90 days before permanent deletion, leaving a gap in granular control for active projects.
Is there a supported method to prune historical auto-save revisions without deleting the file itself? Can the auto-save interval be configured to reduce revision density on low-traffic files?
