Render error during GPU-accelerated export when auto-save writes backup

Context
Premiere Pro's auto-save runs on the main thread at a configurable interval (default 15 minutes) and writes .prproj.backup files to the Auto-Save folder. During GPU-accelerated H.264/HEVC hardware encodes, this write operation can interrupt the render pipeline, producing a generic "Render error" or "Export failed" message with no specific error code. The failure rate increases significantly when the interval is set below five minutes on Windows systems with NVIDIA GPUs.
Constraint
Disabling auto-save for the export duration removes crash protection, while lowering the interval increases interruption probability. The Recover Project dialog only surfaces the most recent auto-save timestamp, not the potentially newer corrupted project file, and there is no built-in integrity verification for backup files. ExtendScript and UXP provide no hooks to query auto-save status, last backup time, or backup integrity, preventing automated coordination.
Question
What configuration or workflow reliably prevents auto-save from interrupting a GPU-accelerated export without sacrificing project recovery coverage for the export duration?
