BASH_XTRACEFD , introduced in bash 4.1, names a file descriptor that receives all set -x trace output. Assigning it lets a deployment script route xtrace lines to a dedicated log while stderr continues to carry only genuine errors — relevant when a CI runner treats captured stderr as the failure signal. Integration boundary: Teleport Auth Service ↔ external OIDC IdP (Okta, Auth0, Azure AD, Keycloak) When Teleport is deployed behind a load balancer that terminates TLS, the Auth Service receives OIDC callbacks on its internal HTTP endpoint while the IdP expects the redirect_uri to match the public HTTPS proxy address.
