Custom resources are instances of resource types added to Kubernetes through API extensions. This page discusses when to add a custom resource to your Kubernetes cluster and when to use a standalone service. It describes the two methods for adding custom resources and how to choose between them. Cus
Goal Determine whether Kibana Timelion applies its own size limit to term aggregations on high-cardinality fields, or whether it defers entirely to Elasticsearch settings such as index.max_result_window. Uncertainty Timelion chains visualization functions into Elasticsearch requests, but the default bucket size may differ between Kibana major releases. It is
CentOS utilizes rsyslog to manage system logging, employing $RateLimitInterval and $RateLimitBurst to prevent log flooding and notification noise. These directives define the maximum number of messages allowed within a specific time window before subsequent identical messages are suppressed. The challenge arises when balancing the suppression of repetitive n
You can use your own encryption key to protect the data in your storage account. When you specify a customer-managed key, Azure Storage uses that key to protect and control access to the key that encrypts your data. Customer-managed keys offer greater flexibility to manage access controls. You must
Testing an Ionic Capacitor integration that uses Firebase Authentication without production credentials requires a stable mock for the native bridge. Capacitor provides a plugin mocking API via capacitor.mock.ts files and the CLI generate command. Built-in mocks are documented for a subset of official plugins such as Camera, Geolocation and Filesystem. Authe
Traefik Mesh’s TrafficSplit resource enables weighted traffic shifting between service versions, but the current implementation does not automatically modify weights in response to health‑check failures or other observability signals. Operators must manually adjust the TrafficSplit or delete it to revert traffic, which can delay reaction to a failing version
Maintaining consistent document rendering across different platforms requires understanding the interoperability between the CommonMark specification and GitHub Flavored Markdown (GFM). While GFM is designed as a superset of CommonMark, the behavior of extended syntax varies when processed by engines that only adhere to the base standard. The primary goal is
A Travis CI build with a deploy section in .travis.yml runs the deploy stage only after script succeeds, and the on keys ( branch , tags , condition ) decide whether that stage executes at all. The goal is to diagnose builds where deployment never runs and to tell a condition-based skip apart from a provider failure. The uncertainty is how those keys are mat
Problem Overview When restoring a VM that had multiple data disks attached, the disks are recreated but are not automatically reattached to the VM. The network interface also reverts to default settings, potentially changing the IP address. Goal and Constraints We need to understand the exact restore behavior for multi‑disk VMs and verify that the restored d
