Kolkata: 'Hotel-like rooms' allegations at Surendranath Law College

Surendranath Law College in Kolkata is facing serious allegations after a sixth-semester student, Nilanjana Bhattacharya, told media that certain rooms on campus — reportedly fitted with beds and attached bathrooms — were not meant for normal academic use. She alleged that female students were pressured to 'compromise' and that those who resisted were threatened, GSTV reported on 16 September 2026.
