UP Scholarship 2026-27 Dashmottar Deadline: Renewal Closes 15 Oct, Fresh Till 31 Oct

As of 15 October 2026, the UP Scholarship 2026-27 renewal window for the Post-Matric Other Than Intermediate, also called Dashmottar, category closes today. Fresh applications for the same category remain open until 31 October 2026. Classes 9-12 windows have already closed.

UP Scholarship 2026-27 key dates for Dashmottar

The Uttar Pradesh government runs the scheme through the official portal scholarship.up.gov.in. For students pursuing graduation, postgraduation, diploma, ITI and other eligible courses under Dashmottar:

• Fresh application window: opened 15 September 2026, closes 31 October 2026
• Renewal application window: opened 15 September 2026, closes 15 October 2026

For Classes 9-12, the fresh deadline was 21 September 2026 and the renewal deadline was 25 August 2026, so the regular window is now closed for those classes.

Applications are submitted online and a hard copy must be submitted to the concerned institution where required. Eligibility, documents and how to apply

The scheme covers General, OBC, SC, ST and minority students subject to income, academic, institution and other prescribed requirements. Dashmottar covers graduation, postgraduation, diploma, ITI and other eligible courses.

Typical documents to keep ready before starting the form: Aadhaar card, UP domicile/residence certificate, current income certificate, caste certificate where applicable, marksheet of last qualifying exam, admission proof/bonafide, current year fee receipt, bank passbook in student’s own name, passport-size photo, registration number and OTR details, and previous year scholarship details for renewals.

Steps: visit scholarship.up.gov.in, complete One Time Registration where applicable, select the correct scholarship category, choose fresh or renewal, enter details carefully, upload documents, submit, take a printout and submit hard copy to the institution.

Payment, verification and status tracking

Submission does not mean immediate approval. Applications go through institutional and departmental verification and scrutiny. Eligible and approved students receive the amount through Direct Benefit Transfer to their bank account.

Payment timing depends on category and completion of verification. For Classes 9-12, the published schedule indicates renewal payments between 25 October and 31 October 2026 and fresh payments between 25 January and 31 January 2027. Dashmottar payment windows are set separately and are subject to verification.
