The Tata Sierra Legend Series was introduced in September 2026 as a mid-spec value upgrade that sits alongside the existing Signature line-up. The series adds premium touches to lower and mid trims while keeping the Sierra’s core engine options. Search interest for the name rose in India in late September 2026 as buyers compared trims and pricing.
Variants and ex-showroom pricing
The Legend range is offered in five trims: Smart+ L, Pure L, Pure L (O), Pure+ L and Adventure+ L. Ex-showroom pricing is reported from about Rs 11.99 lakh for the entry Smart+ L up to about Rs 19.49 lakh for the top Adventure+ L. The line-up is sold in parallel with the Signature series, not as a replacement.
CarWale explains the naming convention keeps the existing names with an added L suffix, while CarLelo lists the full price list and confirms 18 variants across petrol and diesel options.
What changes across the Legend trims
Smart+ L is the base Legend trim. It brings upgraded interior materials, climate control, a digital cluster, LED headlamps with DRLs, auto-folding ORVMs, roof rails and 17-inch steel wheels with covers.
Pure L adds a larger touchscreen with wireless phone mirroring, a reverse camera, tyre pressure monitoring, 17-inch alloy wheels and a rear wiper.
Pure L (O) steps up from Pure L by roughly Rs 50,000 and adds a panoramic sunroof, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers.
Pure+ L is the most equipped Pure variant. It adds a full leatherette interior, cooled front seats with power driver adjustment, under-thigh support, boss mode, dual-zone climate control, rear USB-C ports and one-touch driver window. Reports also note ventilated front seats and a 6-way electrically adjustable driver seat that were earlier limited to higher trims.
Adventure+ L sits at the top of Legend. It builds on Pure+ L with a 360-degree surround view camera, frequency-dependent dampers, dual 12.3-inch screens, reclining rear seat and cooled glovebox. Additional items reported include terrain modes, front parking sensors, ambient lighting and wireless charging.
Powertrains and positioning
The Legend Series retains the Sierra’s 1.5L Revotron petrol and 1.5L Hyperion TGDi diesel options. Pure+ L also gets a 160hp 1.5-litre turbo petrol with DCT, and Adventure+ L is offered with a 1.5-litre petrol DCT option. The base Smart+ L is manual only.
Prices quoted are ex-showroom. On-road costs vary by city due to registration, insurance and taxes. Availability is initially limited to select dealerships and some features may be subject to regional supply.
