Google Trends recorded roughly 10,000 searches for "nimish ravi" with about 300% growth over 24 hours as of 16 September 2026 — a signal of search interest as Malayalam media published details of a three-day celebration in Thiruvananthapuram that stood out for being planned and paid for by the bride herself.

Who is Nimish Ravi?

Nimish Ravi is a Malayalam film cinematographer. According to Mathrubhumi, actor Dulquer Salmaan — described as a close friend and mentor in Nimish's career — was a prominent presence throughout the ceremonies, attending with what the report framed as the responsibility of an elder brother. Metro Vaartha noted that although rumours of a relationship between Nimish and Ahaana had circulated on social media for a long time, the couple had never officially confirmed it before the wedding.

Ahaana walked to the stage in Western style carrying a flower bouquet rather than following customary practice. She wore a royal red Kanchipuram silk saree with gold jewellery — a saree designed by Joel Jacob Mathew after multiple trials, built to be preserved and handed down across generations. Nimish wore a champagne-gold contemporary Indo-western jacket.

The detail drawing the most attention is who paid. Mathrubhumi quoted Ahaana's father, actor Krishnakumar, as saying she covered the entire wedding expense from her own earnings — money made through hard work since her youth — and that she personally decided and coordinated everything from decoration and stage to costumes. Manorama Online reported that Ahaana spent about six months planning every small detail herself, and that her brother-in-law Ashwin Ganesh praised her on Instagram as "the best planner of all time." Krishnakumar told media he was proud of daughters who married without extravagance, using income from their own labour.
