Mexico vs Peru Friendly 2026: Date, Time, Channels and Free VPN Stream for India

Match overview and timing

The Mexico versus Peru international friendly took place on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey (SI.com). The scheduled kickoff was 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time (6:00 p.m. Pacific), which corresponds to 6:30 a.m. Indian Standard Time on September 30. This early‑morning slot meant that fans in India had to wake up before dawn to watch the game live.

Where the game was televised in the United States and Mexico

In the United States the match was carried on the Spanish‑language networks TUDN USA and Univision (SI.com). Streaming options for U.S. viewers included Univision NOW, the TUDN app and the ViX platform. No English‑language broadcast was announced for the contest. In Mexico the game aired on over‑the‑air channels Canal 5 and Azteca 7, as well as on the cable network TUDN. Additional Mexican streams were offered through Claro Sports, Azteca Deportes and ViX.

How Indian fans could watch the match for free

Mashable reported that TV Azteca provides a free livestream of the encounter (Mashable). Because the stream is limited to viewers inside Mexico, individuals in India can access it by using a virtual private network (VPN) that assigns a Mexican IP address. The typical procedure is: subscribe to a VPN service (for example ExpressVPN), download the app to a phone, tablet or computer, connect to a server located in Mexico, then navigate to the TV Azteca website and start the stream. The service does not require a payment for the broadcast itself, although the VPN subscription carries a cost. ExpressVPN highlights features such as servers in over 100 countries including Mexico, apps for iOS, Android, Windows and macOS, a strict no‑logging policy, fast speeds without throttling, up to ten simultaneous connections and a 30‑day money‑back guarantee (Mashable).

Why the fixture generated search interest in India

Ahead of the friendly, Mexico had recorded a 1‑1 draw with Colombia under the new head coach Rafael Márquez, while Peru had lost 4‑1 to the United States in its most recent outing. The combination of a free‑to‑watch stream, the early‑morning timing in India, and the curiosity surrounding Márquez’s first competitive game in charge contributed to a noticeable rise in Google Trends for the keyword “mexico vs peru” (Google Trends India). The trend signal showed approximately ten thousand searches in the past 24 hours with a growth percentage of around 1 000 %.

Points to consider before using a VPN for the stream

Using a VPN to bypass geographic restrictions may violate TV Azteca’s terms of service and could be subject to local laws or regulations. Users should verify that such use is permissible in their jurisdiction and review the VPN provider’s privacy policy. Additionally, the quality of the free stream depends on the VPN’s speed and stability; a dropped connection can interrupt playback, and performance may vary between providers.
