Mahi Vij's Instagram Disappears During Bigg Boss 20: What We Know

The Sudden Disappearance of Mahi Vij's Instagram

Fans of Hindi-TV actress mahi vij were left confused on October 8, 2026, when her official Instagram account suddenly vanished. The disappearance occurred while she was actively participating as a contestant in Bigg Boss 20, which premiered on September 6, 2026 [2]. According to a report by Lokmat [1], users attempting to search for her profile or clicking links from old fan pages are now met with a blank page.

Speculation and Lack of Official Confirmation

Despite the surge in search interest, there has been no official confirmation regarding why the account is gone. The primary theories circulating among fans and media include:

• Policy Violations: Speculation that the account may have been disabled by Instagram for breaching community guidelines.
• Temporary Deactivation: The possibility that the account was manually deactivated by the user or her management.

As of October 8, 2026, Lokmat [1] notes that her team has remained silent on the matter, leaving the actual status of the account unverified.

Context: Controversy in the Bigg Boss House

The digital disappearance coincides with a period of high volatility for the actress inside the Bigg Boss house. Mahi vij has been at the center of several conflicts, most notably a heated clash with fellow contestant aman gandhi over the use of household items [1].

Beyond her conflict with Aman Gandhi, she has faced criticism on social media for her perceived arrogant behavior toward other housemates—such as ordering them to make tea—and for allegedly making insulting remarks about co-contestants Amrapali Dubey and Love Gill [1]. While these house dynamics are typical for reality TV, the timing of her social media outage has led some to speculate if there is a connection between her public image and the account's status.

Mahi Vij's Career Trajectory

Mahi vij (born 1982) is a veteran of the Indian television industry, known for her breakthrough role as Nakusha in Laagi Tujhse Lagan and appearances in Balika Vadhu [2]. After a nine-year hiatus, she returned to fiction in December 2025 in Seher – Hone Ko Hai before exiting the series in May 2026 [2]. Her entry into Bigg Boss 20 marks a significant return to the reality TV spotlight, following her previous win on Nach Baliye 5 in 2013.
