The Kanchipuram Corporation has initiated a municipal drive to improve the city's aesthetics and traffic management. Domestic Tragedy in Periya Karumbur

Parallel to these civic improvements, a disturbing incident was reported near Periya Karumbur village. A 17-year-old ITI student was arrested for the alleged killing of his 45-year-old father, Kumar, following a domestic dispute involving alcohol.

The incident occurred on the night of September 16, 2026.
