Where to Watch the MG Indian Super League 2026-27
Football fans in India can now confirm their viewing plans for the upcoming season. Sony Sports Network has secured both the linear broadcasting and Over-the-Top (OTT) rights for the Indian Super League (ISL) for the 2026–27 and 2027–28 seasons [2].
For those looking for Sony LIV ISL streaming, all matches will be available on the SonyLIV OTT platform. For traditional television viewers, the majority of the action will be broadcast across the Sony Sports Network channels [1]. To expand the league's global reach, YouTube is also expected to provide international streaming access to the matches [2].
Season Opener and Key Dates
The 2026-27 season officially kicks off on October 10, 2026. The opening match will feature Bengaluru FC taking on Sporting Club Delhi at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru [1]. Following the opener, FC Goa is scheduled to face Chennaiyin FC later that same day [2].
The first phase of the season consists of 78 matches and is slated to run through January 17, 2027, returning the league to a full home-and-away format [2].
A Commercial Reset: MG Title Sponsorship and Club-Led Model
This season marks a significant shift in how the league operates. The ISL is transitioning to a club-run commercial model. Under this framework, individual clubs now manage their own commercial rights and revenue-generating activities, while the All India Football Federation (AIFF) maintains oversight of administration and regulation [2].
This structural change has already attracted major investment. After a three-year gap, the league has secured a new title sponsor, Morris Garages (MG) / JSW MG Motor India. Consequently, the competition will now be officially branded as the MG Indian Super League [1].
