Searches for gta6 leaks surged in India in early October 2026 after a nearly 25-minute gameplay video of GTA VI appeared online on 8 October. The footage, attributed to the anonymous leaker known as Cyberleek, shows the male protagonist Jason walking around Vice City completely nude, along with a brief nude clip of Lucia, as reported by Mashable and The Verge. Here is what the leak actually shows, why it trended, and what it does — and does not — confirm about the final game.
What the Cyberleek GTA VI video shows
Cyberleek, who had earlier shared GTA VI clips before the game's Netflix "Extended Look" special in August and then went quiet, returned on 8 October 2026 with the longest leak yet. Beyond the nudity, the video includes cutscenes introducing street and countryside races, vehicle customization covering the engine and transmission, and first-person footage both while driving and on foot — a feature Rockstar added to GTA 5 years after release but had not yet shown for GTA 6. Some cutscenes contain light story spoilers, including a dirt bike race mission involving Jason and Lucia.
Why the nude gameplay may not reflect the final game
The most striking detail — Jason moving through Vice City fully nude with no reaction from NPCs — is also the most questionable. Mashable notes two pieces of evidence suggesting developer tools were used: non-player characters do not react at all to the nudity, and at one point the player spawns a tank out of thin air, an ability normal players would not have. So while the leak partially confirms that nude character models exist in the build, it does not prove players will be able to play the shipped game unclothed.
Why gta6 leaks trended in India
Google Trends India recorded roughly 20,000 searches for "gta6 leaks" in the 24 hours before 10 October 2026, a 700% jump, with related queries including "cyberleek" and "cyberleek gta vi" (Google Trends). This confirms strong Indian search interest in the leak; it does not, by itself, verify any claim about the game's content.
Legal risk and the confirmed release date
Rockstar has previously called the leaks "heartbreaking," and Take-Two Interactive has requested multiple subpoenas to identify the alleged infringers. Viewing or redistributing the footage may infringe copyright, and the video is strictly not safe for work. The leak also promotes a crypto coin, another reason for caution. GTA VI itself is officially set to launch on 19 November 2026 for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, and is available for preorder now.
