CBSE Date Sheet 2027: Release Timeline, Download Steps and Fake Timetable Warning

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had not released the final date sheet for the 2027 Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations as of September 20, 2026, and the Board had not announced a confirmed timetable publication date, according to a Times of India liveblog published on September 20, 2026. Students searching for cbse updates should treat any circulating schedule as unofficial until CBSE publishes it on cbse.gov.in.

Google Trends recorded search interest for cbse in India on September 20, 2026, but trend data only shows search volume and does not verify exam dates or announcements, as noted by Google Trends India.

CBSE 2027 Date Sheet: Current Status

The official timetable remains unavailable. Subject-wise examination dates, days and timings have not been published. Once released, the date sheet will appear in the examination or latest circulars section of the CBSE website.

Expected Release Timeline Based on Past Years

CBSE does not follow a fixed calendar, but recent releases offer a reference. The Board issued the final datesheet for the 2026 board examinations on October 30, 2025, after a tentative version on September 24, 2025. For 2025, the timetable came on November 20, 2024, and for 2024 it was released on December 12, 2023. Based on this pattern, the 2027 timetable may arrive in the later part of 2026, though this is only an estimate and not an official commitment.

How to Download and Verify the Official CBSE Date Sheet

1. Visit the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in.
2. Open the section carrying the latest examination updates or circulars.
3. Find the notification for the Class 10 or Class 12 board exam date sheet 2027.
4. Click the link to open the timetable PDF.
5. Check the subject names, subject codes, dates, days and examination timings.
6. Download and save the PDF, and keep a printed copy for reference.

India Today’s September 17, 2026 guide confirms that the safest source is the official CBSE website and that students should not rely on websites or social media handles claiming to have the date sheet before CBSE publishes it.

Warning: Avoid Fake Timetables and Forwarded PDFs

Unofficial PDFs shared through WhatsApp, Telegram or other websites may contain incorrect dates. Students should verify any timetable against cbse.gov.in before changing revision plans. CBSE has issued revised datesheets in earlier cycles, so even after release, students should check for subsequent official notices before each examination.

What the Official Date Sheet Will Contain

The final timetable is expected to list subject-wise examination dates, examination timings and instructions. Details on practical examinations, project assessments or internal assessments may be issued separately by the Board.

Preparation Should Not Wait for the Timetable

Students should continue completing the syllabus, revising difficult chapters and solving sample papers while waiting. Once the official date sheet is out, the gaps between papers can be used to prioritise subjects that need more revision.
