Despite the arrest, the commission did not hold the results of that centre. Separately, in Purnia, an invigilator allegedly photographed question booklets of absent candidates, after which the paper went viral on social media; the invigilator was arrested and jailed.

The 471-Candidate Surge at Gayaji

Of the 1,440 candidates allotted to the Gayaji centre, a record 471 were declared successful – a pass rate of 32.71%, compared with the state average of 31.37%. Student Unrest in Patna
