What the BCI Announcement Means for You

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has just clarified the status of Certificates of Practice (COPs) for candidates who cleared the AIBE XXI exam. If you passed the exam and uploaded your enrolment certificate before 30 July 2026, your COP has already been printed and sent to your State Bar Council. Those who submitted after that date are in the second‑lot queue, pending verification.

First‑Lot COPs – Already Dispatched

According to the BCI update, all COPs for candidates who uploaded their enrolment certificates on or before 30 July 2026 have been processed and dispatched to the respective State Bar Councils. Candidates should contact their council to collect the physical COP and confirm its status.

Second‑Lot COPs – Pending Processing

Candidates who uploaded certificates between 30 July 2026 and 30 September 2026 will be processed in the second lot. These COPs will be dispatched only after successful verification of the submitted documents.
