Aggipetti Macha Died: Telugu Comedian Kiran Kumar Passes Away

Telugu social media comedian Kiran Kumar, widely known as Aggipetti Macha, died on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, while receiving treatment at SVIMS hospital in Tirupati. The news broke on the evening of October 7 and was covered widely by Telugu media on October 8, prompting an outpouring of grief from fans, fellow YouTubers and television artists across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Hospitalisation and final days

Kiran Kumar's health deteriorated in early October 2026. As his condition worsened, family members shifted him to the SVIMS hospital in Tirupati. He was admitted on October 5, 2026, and doctors placed him on ventilator support for two days as his condition turned critical. Despite continued treatment, he breathed his last on Wednesday evening, as confirmed by his family members [1] [3].

Funeral rites in Chiguruvada

Kiran Kumar hailed from Chiguruvada village in the rural mandal of Tirupati district. According to 10TV, the final journey was to begin on Thursday, October 8, from his sister's home in YSR Colony, Chiguruvada Panchayat, with the last rites held in his native village [2].

From viral memes to mainstream TV

Kiran Kumar built a distinct identity as Aggipetti Macha through YouTube videos and short reels. His unique dialogue delivery, expressive face and natural comedic timing made his clips go viral across Telugu social media, and his videos and memes became a constant presence on people's feeds. His popularity grew to the point where several YouTube channels queued up to interview him, and fans treated him with a level of fame comparable to film celebrities [3].

His reach extended well beyond digital platforms into mainstream Telugu television. He appeared on popular comedy programmes such as Jabardasth and Sridevi Drama Company, entertaining audiences in his signature style [1] [2]. Notably, he had been absent from social media for some time before his death — no new videos or reels — which had already left fans wondering about his whereabouts.

Clarification on cause of death

After the news broke, social media posts circulated claiming that a drinking habit had damaged his health and caused his death. Readers should treat these claims with caution: no official medical confirmation of the cause of death has been released, and reporting explicitly states that the alcohol theory remains unverified speculation [1]. What is confirmed is that he died while undergoing treatment for serious health complications at SVIMS, Tirupati. Colleagues, YouTubers and artists who worked with him have been expressing condolences on social media, remembering a comedian who made countless people laugh.
