What happens to DHCP static hostname resolution when switching from DNS Forwarder to DNS Resolver in pfSense?

Determine how changing the DNS mode from Forwarder to Resolver influences the ability of DHCP static mappings to resolve hostnames locally.
Because the GUI enforces mutual exclusivity, enabling the Resolver grays out the Forwarder and does not automatically migrate existing static hostname entries, leaving uncertainty about whether the Resolver will use those entries or require manual local‑data configuration in unbound.
Does the DNS Resolver automatically incorporate DHCP static hostname entries into its cache, or must they be added manually as unbound local‑data entries?
Is there a supported method to preserve static hostname mappings when switching between Forwarder and Resolver without losing resolution after a GUI save or firmware upgrade?
