Webflow Site Backup Restore Limits and CMS Synchronization

Site State Restoration Behavior
Webflow provides a backup system that allows users to revert a site to a previous state based on publication timestamps. This functionality captures the site's structure, styles, and content, typically maintaining a history of the 20 most recent versions.
When restoring a backup, the current Designer state is replaced by the snapshot. However, there is uncertainty regarding the precise synchronization between structural backups and CMS collection data during a restoration event, particularly when complex schema changes have occurred between the backup point and the restore action.
Given that restoring is a destructive process for any intervening changes, the following points require clarification:
- Does restoring a structural backup automatically revert CMS collection items and field values to the exact state they were in at the time of that specific publication?
- In cases where CMS schema changes were made after the backup was created, how does the system handle the reconciliation of existing CMS data with the restored older structure?
