Symbol Override Cache Retention After Document Close

Sketch 71.3 introduced cleanup of symbol override caches on document close, but this appears limited to overrides created through the native interface. Third-party plugins that retain references to symbol objects in their own state may prevent the cache from being freed, and the application does not expose a user-accessible command to manually purge symbol override data.
The unresolved boundary is whether closing a document should release override memory in every scenario, or whether plugin-managed references fall outside the scope of automatic cleanup. This distinction affects workflows that rely on large symbol libraries and repeated open/close cycles.
Does document-close cleanup apply only to native UI overrides, or should it also account for plugin-held references? Is there a supported way to force a symbol override cache purge without quitting the application? How does this behavior differ between the Sketch Store version and the standalone app?
