ShotGrid Toolkit core updates and shared configuration dependencies

Pipeline Configuration Versioning
ShotGrid Toolkit (sgtk) allows projects to share core components via @include directives within the pipeline_configuration.yml file. This design is intended to streamline the distribution of common pipeline logic across multiple projects.
Dependency Synchronization
When a core version bump is initiated in one project, it may introduce changes to shared components. There is uncertainty regarding how these updates propagate to other projects that reference the same shared core, particularly before tank cache_apps is executed locally in those dependent projects.
It is unclear if the system is designed to maintain a strict version lock for each project or if a shared core update is intended to affect all referencing projects silently until a manual cache refresh occurs.
- Does a core version update in a shared configuration automatically trigger a version mismatch in dependent projects?
- Is there a documented mechanism to isolate project-specific core versions when using
@include?
