Reloading Oh My Zsh plugins without restarting the shell

Goal
We need to add or remove an Oh My Zsh plugin while a user’s shell session is active, avoiding a full restart that would interrupt workflow.
Constraints
The framework sources plugin scripts during .zshrc initialization, so the current session may not automatically pick up changes. Reloading may affect alias definitions, completion functions, and global variables defined by the plugin.
Unresolved Questions
- Is there a documented command or function that reloads a single plugin in an existing session?
- What side effects does reloading have on the current environment (e.g., alias conflicts, memory usage)?
- Can the framework safely unload a plugin, or is a full shell restart required?
