Photoshop 2024 (v25.0) and later: expired Adobe ID tokens disable cloud document sync with no automatic refresh

After updating to Photoshop 2024 (v25.0), I'm trying to understand the token lifecycle for Adobe ID authentication. From what I can tell, access tokens are stored in the OS credential store with least-privilege scoping, and when a token expires, cloud document sync stops with a generic sign-in required error rather than a silent refresh.
The uncertainty is whether this is intentional behavior or a misconfiguration on my side. I cannot find any preference or registry key that controls token refresh, and the UI does not distinguish between an expired token and a signed-out state.
Is manual re-authentication the designed behavior in v25.0, or should Photoshop be renewing the token silently through the refresh-token flow? If so, is there a supported way to enable it?
