Partial upload retries may count toward limit without deduplication

Determine whether Codecov’s uploader treats a network interruption that occurs after sending only part of the request payload as a failed upload that consumes one of the configured retry attempts.
The uploader relies on server‑side idempotency, which assumes the entire payload is received; it is unclear if an incomplete payload is rejected, whether it still counts toward the retry limit, and whether such a scenario could leave the coverage data in an inconsistent state.
Does the uploader count a connection‑closed‑after‑partial‑send as a retry? Does the server treat the partial payload as invalid and therefore not apply deduplication, potentially creating duplicate coverage entries? How can users verify whether partial uploads result in inconsistent coverage data?
