Configuration must be available to the application without exposing credentials in source control, logs or browser code. What belongs in the runtime and which access controls matter?

Validate array shapes, dtypes and size limits for external inputs before allocating or computing. Avoid enabling pickle-based loading for untrusted object arrays. Store access credentials outside notebooks and scripts, and keep sensitive arrays out of diagnostic logs.
