Lack of atomic file operations in Grunt task retries

Grunt executes tasks in a linear sequence without native support for transactional atomicity or state recovery. When a file-write task fails midway, the task runner typically terminates or continues via the --force flag, potentially leaving partial or corrupted files on disk.
Because Grunt lacks a built-in retry mechanism for individual tasks, manual retrying of a failed build often results in duplicate writes or inconsistent directory states. While plugins like grunt-contrib-clean can reset environments, they do not ensure that a specific write operation is either completed entirely or not performed at all.
Is there a documented pattern within the Grunt architecture to ensure atomic file writes without implementing custom idempotent logic in every task? How can developers enforce idempotency across multiple plugin-based tasks to prevent duplicate data during a process recovery cycle?
