FileZilla Timestamp Preservation and Server Time Zone Offset

Timestamp Handling in Site Manager
FileZilla Client utilizes the MFMT command to preserve timestamps during file transfers, attempting to synchronize the remote file date with the local system clock. However, the application relies on the server's reported modification times via LIST or MLST commands for display.
When connecting to servers that do not support standardized UTC timestamps, there is a potential for time drift. Because FileZilla does not currently offer a manual time zone offset configuration within the Site Manager for individual connections, the client must interpret the server's local time based on the local machine's clock.
This creates uncertainty when managing files across disparate regional time zones where the server does not explicitly communicate its offset.
- How does FileZilla determine the offset for servers lacking UTC support?
- Is there a mechanism to manually define a time zone offset per site to prevent timestamp drift?
