Recursive resolvers and devices can retain answers until their cache entries expire. Compare authoritative responses with the resolver used by each device, and check both IPv4 and IPv6 records. A previous negative response may also be cached. Confirm the record at the authoritative provider before repeatedly editing it; changing TTL after an answer is cached does not retroactively shorten that existing cache entry.
