Deployment Log Persistence for Immediate Startup Failures

Replit Deployment Logging
Replit Deployments transition code from an interactive IDE container to a production hosting environment. During this process, the platform captures stdout and stderr streams to help developers diagnose runtime crashes or startup errors via the Deployment logs tab.
Logging Constraints
There is a potential gap in visibility when a container crashes immediately upon startup. If the process terminates before the logging agent can successfully attach to the stream, the logs may be truncated or entirely absent, making it difficult to distinguish between a configuration error and a system-level failure.
- Deployment type: Autoscale or Reserved VM
- Trigger: Health check failure during the initial boot sequence
Does Replit provide a mechanism to capture early-boot system logs that occur before the application-level logging agent is active? If not, what is the recommended method for verifying the cause of a deployment that fails instantly without producing output in the logs tab?
