Compass query bar text becomes hard to read under OS high-contrast themes

I am reviewing MongoDB Compass for accessibility compliance and focusing on the query bar in the user-facing workflow. The built-in light and dark themes appear to use fixed color pairs that should sit near or above the WCAG AA 4.5:1 contrast ratio for normal text, but the 'System' theme option inherits colors from the operating system instead.
The concern is that on platforms with high-contrast or custom OS themes (for example Windows High Contrast mode), the inherited foreground and background colors for the query bar could drop well below 3:1, making typed queries difficult to read for users who rely on those settings. Compass supports theme customization, but I am not aware of any built-in validation that warns when a chosen or inherited color combination fails accessibility guidelines.
Assume a recent stable Compass release on Windows 11 or macOS, with verification done via Developer Tools and a contrast analyzer such as axe.
Is the query bar's color inheritance under the 'System' theme a documented behavior, and does Compass apply any minimum-contrast safeguards? What is the recommended way to measure and confirm the actual contrast ratio in this configuration? If it falls below WCAG AA, is overriding via a custom theme the supported remediation?
