Can PyCharm proactively detect expired service credentials before an operation fails?

When integrating PyCharm with external services such as GitHub, GitLab, or databases, credentials are stored in the IDE’s password manager and may include limited-scope OAuth tokens. The IDE accepts these tokens but does not automatically generate or refresh them, requiring manual replacement once they expire.
Because some integrations may continue using cached credentials until an authentication error surfaces, operations can fail intermittently rather than predictably. Behavior may also differ between PyCharm Professional and Community editions, and changes to JetBrains’ internal HTTP client can alter how expired credentials are handled across patch levels.
Can PyCharm be configured to validate credential expiration before initiating a Git or database operation? Does the IDE distinguish between an expired token and a revoked credential when prompting for re-authentication? Which built-in integrations support proactive expiration checks versus reactive error handling?
