VS Code Extension ↔ Language Server: Workspace Folder Closure Timing The goal is to understand how the VS Code Extension API’s LanguageClient manages its lifecycle when a workspace folder is closed, compared to when the entire window is reloaded. The documented behavior indicates that the client attempts an automatic restart if the server crashes, but the ex
Consistent Webhook Endpoints Creating a repeatable development environment often requires a persistent public URL to avoid updating webhook configurations in external APIs every time the local agent restarts. The ngrok Tunneling feature supports static domains to solve this volatility. Configuration Constraints While the ngrok.yml configuration file allows f
Goal I am configuring VeeValidate (v4, Vue 3) to validate a date-time input that must be compared against a minimum boundary, such as "not in the past." The form collects a local date-time from the user, but the constraint is defined in UTC on the server side. Constraint and uncertainty From the documented behavior, VeeValidate is agnostic to date formats an
When implementing a modal layout in React-Bootstrap (v2.x), developers must choose between the built-in centered prop and custom CSS overrides for vertical alignment. The centered prop leverages Bootstrap's Flexbox implementation to center the .modal-dialog within the viewport. However, specific design constraints may require precise offsets or non-standard
Goal To determine how the new default “Allow All” ingress rule behaves for droplets that are not created through the UI. Uncertainty Documentation indicates the rule applies only to UI‑created droplets, but no explicit statement exists for API‑created droplets or for droplets that later join a firewall group. Questions When a droplet is created via the API a
Vagrant manages downloaded environment boxes through a local cache directory to facilitate reuse across multiple projects. While the provider may host a newer version of a specific box, Vagrant defaults to using the locally cached version when the vagrant up command is executed. The current behavior requires a manual execution of vagrant box update to synchr
This question addresses the runtime behavior of the COBOL REPLACE statement when its target field overlaps with another field in the same record, within a COBOL-to-Java interoperability context. The COBOL language standard does not define the outcome when REPLACE modifies overlapping fields, resulting in compiler-dependent results. IBM Enterprise COBOL and M
I'm planning a ClojureScript and shadow-cljs version bump on a project and want a documented recovery path in case the upgrade fails or is interrupted mid-build, leaving partially compiled output behind. From what I understand, several layers of cached artifacts exist: the compiler's :output-dir contents, shadow-cljs's .shadow-cljs/cache , the .cpcache from
ActiveRecord utilizes .limit and .offset to bound queries, enabling standard offset-based pagination. However, as the offset value increases, the database must scan and discard all preceding rows, leading to linear performance degradation. While keyset pagination (seek method) avoids this scan by using indexed columns in a WHERE clause, Ruby on Rails does no
